Who we are

Tia ("we", "us", "our") operates tia-beauty.co.uk, a platform helping beauty salons fill empty appointment slots and connect with new customers. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal information submitted through our website, in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What information we collect

When you join our Early Access waitlist or otherwise get in touch, we may collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number
  • Your salon's name
  • The booking software you currently use, if you tell us
  • Any other information you choose to share with us through our forms or by email

Why we collect it

We use this information to:

  • Manage the Early Access waitlist and let you know if a place becomes available
  • Send you updates about Tia's launch and new features
  • Understand the salons we're building for, so we can shape Tia around real needs
  • Improve our product and website

Legal basis for processing

We only process your personal data where you've given us clear, informed consent — for example, by ticking the consent box on our Early Access form. You can withdraw this consent at any time; see "Your rights" below.

How we store your information

Submissions are stored securely in HubSpot, a widely-used customer relationship management (CRM) platform. HubSpot applies its own security and data protection measures, and we only use it to manage our waitlist and communicate with salons who've asked to hear from us.

How long we keep your information

We will retain your personal information until Tia launches, and for up to 24 months after your last interaction with us, unless you request that we delete it sooner.

Your rights under UK GDPR

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct any inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Ask us to delete your data (the “right to be forgotten”)
  • Restrict or object to how we use your data
  • Receive a copy of your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw your consent at any time

None of these requests cost anything, and we'll respond within one month.

How to request access or deletion

To exercise any of these rights, email us at emily.borchert@tia-bookings.co.uk with your name and the email address you used to sign up. We may ask you to confirm your identity before actioning your request.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

We use a small number of essential cookies to remember your cookie preference and keep our website working properly. We only set optional analytics or advertising cookies — for example, to understand how visitors use our site — if you accept them via our cookie banner. You can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser's stored data for this site.

We never sell your data

We will never sell, rent or trade your personal information to third parties. Full stop.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as Tia grows. We'll update the date at the top of this page whenever we do.
